At the age of 67, Railways Minister M Mazibul Hoque tied the knot with the 29-year-old bride Honufa akter Rikta on Friday.
The marriage ceremony was held at the house of bride Hanufa Akter Rikta at Mirakhal village in Chandina upazila.
Maulana Siddiqur Rahman solemnised the marriage around 4:40pm on a dower (denmahar) of Tk 500,001.
Earlier, a 700-member bridal party, including the bridegroom, arrived at the bride’s house from the capital around 3:00pm.
