No central contract for Mashrafi

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) holds its first board meeting in the new year. A new central contract for the national cricketers was one of the top issues of this meeting. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, the ODI skipper will not part of the central contract.

Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papan spoke to the media after the board meeting on Sunday.

He said, Mashrafe called me and told me that he should not be placed in the Cricket Board’s central contract. He told me that if I am not a part of central contract another young cricketer will get opportunities.

He added that since Mashrafe did not want to stay in the contract by himself, he will not keep in the new central contract in the upcoming board meeting.
