Mastercard and Daraz launch ‘Win a Trip for 2’ campaign

Mastercard, in collaboration with Daraz Bangladesh Limited, has announced a three month long ‘Win a Trip for 2’ campaign to drive digital payments on Daraz. The campaign kicked off on 1 November, 2018 and will continue until 31 January, 2019. Under this campaign, the top three Mastercard spenders monthly – using credit, debit, or prepaid cards – on Daraz will be awarded a grand prize, i.e., a 3 days, 2 nights trip for two to Singapore*. Other Mastercard spenders on Daraz will also stand a chance to win attractive discounts and prizes.

To avail the above rewards, Mastercard cardholders are required to download the new Daraz App. The app allows the users to securely save their Mastercard details on a File Drive, which is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certified. PCI DSS is an information security standard which optimizes the security of credit, debit and prepaid card transactions and protects cardholders against misuse of their personal information.

After saving their card details on the app, Mastercard cardholders will be eligible to participate in the campaign. Three winners will be chosen every month, based on the frequency of their Mastercard transactions. If multiple Mastercard holders have identical frequency, the winners will be decided based on the highest amount spent. This is applicable only to transactions over 1000BDT or US$12.

Syed Mostahidal Hoq, Managing Director, Daraz Bangladesh Limited said, “Daraz is all about customer satisfaction. This collaboration with Mastercard will surely enhance and enrich the shopping experience of our customers. This campaign will also be a stepping stone that enables customers to experience a new feature on Daraz’s app – ‘easy and secure check out’.”

Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager, Mastercard Bangladesh said, “Mastercard is delighted to partner with Daraz.com.bd to make online purchases convenient and exciting for Mastercard cardholders. This is a new phase of Mastercard’s ongoing endeavor with Daraz to accelerate digital transactions and purchases in Bangladesh. Through this exciting rewards campaign, Mastercard hopes that more and more digital transactions will be encouraged.”
