For the Second Time Daraz is Hosting Dhaka Seller Summit-2019

Country’s largest online shopping platform Daraz Bangladesh (daraz.com.bd) has organized Dhaka Seller Summit – 2019 for the second time. The main purpose of the event was to inform all the merchants about the latest technological advances that were incorporated after Daraz joined Alibaba, the Chinese e-commerce company last year. The key points of the discussion include the new additions of the technology and how they can use it to manage their business more effectively and conveniently.

Seller Summit-2019 was hosted on 8th October at Bangabandhu International Convention Center. The first part of the Summit began with around 450 brand partners at 12:00 pm and ended at 3 pm. The second session started at around 6:30 pm with about two thousand merchants and ended at 9:00 pm with dinner. Mr. Sirajul Islam, The Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) was the chief guest of the ceremony. On the occasion of Seller Summit-2019 he said “In my opinion, Daraz Bangladesh itself is the definition of Digital Bangladesh, because it is an organization that not only works for creating digital Bangladesh but also contributed a lot in country’s economy by employing thousands of sellers. Due to the immense potential of Daraz, e-commerce giant like Alibaba has included the institution in its ecosystem”.

On the occasion, Syed Mostahidal Hoq, Managing Director of Daraz Bangladesh Limited said, “This year the seller summit is not confined within Dhaka city but in order to maintain its continuity and for providing benefits to all the vendors of Daraz the event has been organized in Khulna, Sylhet and Rajshahi. On 12th October we are going to organize the Seller Summit its Chittagong. Daraz Bangladesh is not only centered in Dhaka. Hence, we are planning to take bigger steps in the future. We hope that our future advancements will be beneficial for both the sellers and the customers.”
