Establishing public relations as a profession in Bangladesh is the key success

“At time when corporate houses could not believe that a PR agency can sustain and operate in the country, during that time, a young vibrant man named M Shamsur Rahman took the initiative to establish Impact PR in the country,” said Aftab-Ul-Islam, Chairman of Impact PR, Director, Bangladesh Bank and former president of American chamber of commerce in Bangladesh.

He also said, “We are celebrating 15 years today but when we started we didn’t think that it would come this far. I believe the company will move forward with more speed in future.” He said this on Thursday, March 05, 2020, in 15 years celebration of Impact PR, the country’s first public relations firm.

“We were motivated to establish Impact PR with the cooperation of Aftab-ul-Islam, one of the country’s leading businessmen,” said M Shamsur Rahman, co-founder of Impact PR and CEO and editor-in-chief of Independent Television and editor of The Independent, at a function organized at the company’s head office in the capital.

“Before Impact PR, some have taken initiatives to provide public relations services. But institutionally followed by continuous success, we are the first public relations institute in the country. Our success stands where the public relations service has achieved professional status in the country. ” he added.

Sabrina Zaman, Chief Executive of Impact PR, honored Aftab-ul-Islam and M Shamsur Rahman, with flowers. The employees of the Dhaka office of the organization were present during the event. Impact PR is the only public relations service provider in the country with separate offices in Chittagong, Sylhet and Kushtia.

Impact PR started working as Bangladesh’s first public relations company on March 05, 2005. Currently, the company is providing public relations services to various domestic and international companies including Robi Axiata Limited, Huawei Consumer Business group, Beximco Group, Oracle Bangladesh, Akash DTH, and British American Tobacco.
