Bikroy.com wins Qualifiers Round of Echelon Asia Summit 2015

Bangladesh Qualifiers Round of Echelon Asia Summit 2015 is a competition for Bangladeshi startups to showcase themselves for top technology investors and startup industry heavyweights.The event was hosted by SD ASIA and held at the NewsCred office in Banani.

There were 8 startups pitching from Bangladesh – Kaaktaruaa (Live TV World), Audacity IT Solutions (How I Work), GObd (GO), TapStar Interactive Software Limited (Ludo Friends), Bongo (Bongo), StellarDimensions (BookMark), Track My Vehicle (Track My Vehicle) and Bikroy.com Limited (Bikroy.com).

Bikroy.com won the round and will now be pitching at the Echelon Asia Summit 2015 in Singapore in June, after having been awarded the ‘Judges’ Choice Award’ at the Bangladesh Qualifiers Round in Dhaka this past Saturday.

“Bikroy.com have executed their strategy well and have made a name for themselves in Bangladesh” Mr. FayazTaher added addressing the pitching startups. “This is just the beginning of many more opportunities to come. If Bikroy.com can do it so can you.”

“It’s a fantastic feeling, as the competition was fierce. We are very excited, as all our hard work the last couple of years has paid off.” Misha Ali, Director, Marketing at Bikroy.com said upon winning the award, “We have been able to prove that startups can make a difference in the Bangladesh community.”

“It wasn’t easy for us to decide”, said Mr. Mustafizur Khan, one of the judges, “We looked at each of the pitches very closely and three or four of them came very close to winning. At the end of the day we had to think about which team could best represent Bangladesh for the 1st time at the Echelon Asia Summit.”

Track My Vehicle won the ‘People’s Choice Award’ with their VTS (Vehicle Tracking System) product.“It feels awesome to be chosen by the people as it means they already like our product” said Mir Shahruk Islam from the Track My Vehicle Team. “My pitch was simple. People had some problems with their cars and I am giving them a solution. I am making their cars more secure. I guess that’s why we made a connection.”
