Airtel offers free calls to Nepal

Mobile service provider Airtel Bangladesh Limited offers free-call service to Nepal for its users for 48-hour starting 12:00am Monday.

“We have decided to offer all calls on the Airtel network from Bangladesh to Nepal completely free of cost for the next 48 hours,” said PD Sarma, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Bangladesh Limited.

The service will facilitate its users to connect with their friends and family members affected in the Nepal earthquake, PD Sarma hoped.

A 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal`s capital Kathmandu and nearby Pokhara city on Saturday.

On Sunday, another 6.7 magnitude earthquake hit the country again that sent panic across the country.
