The killing of Abrar Fahad, a Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student, has shaken us to the core. The CCTV footage that shows the killers, all leaders of the Sher-e-Bangla Hall’s Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) unit, carrying the victim to be left on the stairs is even more shocking.
A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed 10 expelled leaders and activists of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on a five-day remand each in a case over the murder Abrar Fahad.
Those remanded are — BCL BUET unit general secretary Mehedi Hasan Russel, its vice president Muhtasim Fuad, organising secretary Mehedi Hasan Robin, information and research affairs secretary Anik Sarkar, sports secretary Meftahul Islam, literature secretary Moniruzzaman Monir, deputy social welfare secretary Efti Mosharraf Sokal, deputy office secretary Mostoba Rafid and two members Muntasir Al Jami and Ehtemamul Rabbi.
