79 DIGITAL CAMPAIGNS AWARDED AT DIGITAL MARKETING AWARD 2019

The third edition of Digital Marketing Award honoured 79 digital campaigns through a grand award gala on Saturday. An initiative of Bangladesh Brand Forum, Digital Marketing Award 2019 was presented by Meghna Group of Industries. The award gala was attended by 500 digital marketing enthusiasts. The awards were given across 16 categories, in four ranks – Grand Prix, Gold, Silver and Bronze. The event was organized in association with The Daily Star.

Digital Marketing Award is the only accolade for digital works in Bangladesh. This year, more than 500 nominations were submitted for the award. Four jury panels shortlisted the digital works and another four jury panels selected the ultimate winners. Regarding the jury process, Tay Guan Hin, Founder and GCCO of TGH Collective and the Creative Change Catalyst of the APAC Global Advisory, stressed, “There are more platforms, mediums, and touchpoints than ever to connect with your audience on a deeply personal level. With the right digital strategy and execution, the possibilities for creating engaging and inspiring marketing are endless. As Jury President, my role is to ensure the selected entry is thoroughly discussed, debated and interrogated before it deserved an award, thus raising the overall digital standard of Bangladesh.”

This year’s Digital Marketing Award had 79 winners. There were 1 Grand Prix award, 12 Gold awards, 16 Silver awards and 50 Bronze awards.

About this year’s Digital Marketing Award, Nazia Andaleeb Preema, Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum stressed, ‘In this era of dual existence of digital and physical dimension, we need to activate our human emotions more.  For marketers & creative professionals, digits should be transformed into emotions to connect, react and respond. Digital content is the next era of innovation for new marketing possibilities.’

Digital Marketing Award 2019 was preceded by the 6th Digital Summit. Initiated in 2014 by Bangladesh Brand Forum, the Digital Summit is the apex platform for country’s digital marketers. This year’s summit was attended by around 500 professionals. The theme for the summit was ‘Digital Transformation for People’.

The sixth edition of the summit had 3 global speakers, who came from different regions of the world and shared knowledge. Alongside, there were notable local experts who discussed on multiple topics. Multiple panel discussions, breakouts, insights and many more engagements gave the summit premises a school-like ambience.

Keynote speakers were – Rob Sherlock, Executive Advisor, Global Communications Consultant at ADK, and Chief Creative Officer, Executive Search at Cognasia Talent; Vittorio Furlan, Head of Business Insights at ADA (Analytics. Data. Advertising), Malaysia; and Protik Basu, Managing Partner at WeAddo.
